Coffee and cake, meet up with other carers for a chat, with support and information from local support services
The Mowlem, Swanage *free event*
Dementia-friendly coffee mornings include Making Memories Cafe at the Mowlem Show Bar on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 10am to 12pm
The event offers coffee, cake, and entertainment, while the Friendship Cafe is an opportunity for people living with dementia and their families to socialise. Please contact 01929 422 239 for information/free tickets

PurbeckParkys
PurbeckParkys is for local people who are living with Parkinson's, offering friendship, information and support to others living in the Purbeck area. They welcome those who are diagnosed and their families, friends and carers, as well as professionals with an interest in the condition and people who want to help out.
They meet at Swanage Cricket Club Day's Park on the 3rd Wednesday of every month between 2pm and 4pm.
Simple refreshments are available at a nominal charge.
Their usual pattern is to have a speaker one month and a social/activity gathering the next.

Carers Course
Another carers course will be starting Friday the 6th of February 2026 at the Wareham Hospital 10am until 12pm every Friday, until Friday the 3rd of April 2026
